Yes it is pricey, but if you focus purely on the seafood then it's worth it. I went here with several friends during my recent visit to NYC, after my friend made a reservation here about a month beforehand. Go with the premium buffet and devour all the lobsters you can. Fresh lobster with garlic butter is good, fresh lobster with salt and pepper is even better, and the spicy lobster claw was also good. Skip the mac and cheese as it loads up on carbs, which will fill you up. Order 5 of each for each person and you'll more than get enough value for what you pay. You can even order the snow crab leg, dungeness crab, and blue crab for some good crab value. Stick with the seafood and ditch the noodles/rice/pasta and you'll get to eat a lot here. Service was not the best here, we had to pester our server a few times to get the amount of lobster we ordered for. The food was excellent though, so I can forgive the subpar service here.
First time here and I was impressed! I enjoyed their array of seafood options and sides. We did the regular seafood buffet and feel like we got our money worth. I wanted a place where I could get a lot of crab and option seafood and this didn't disappoint They had a good amount of seating and my server, Jay, was great! Made sure to check in on us to see if we wanted more food. The food comes out pretty quickly once it gets started which we liked. I wish they allowed for reservations but I can see this place being packed depending on the day/time you come. We came on a Monday around 4 and easily got a seat. Would recommend this place
Food is delicious, service is great, drinks are amazing! Ambiance is very inclusive, family and friends vibe 10/10 recommend
Great service! It was our first time at the restaurant and our waiter explained everything thoroughly on how to order off the menu. He always made sure to check in on our table and the food came quickly for such a busy establishment. We had the crab legs, which was my favorite dish of all, the sautéed garlic broccoli, my least favorite dish of all, mussels and clams, chicken wings, garlic noodles, old bay shrimp, Steak and the shrimp fried rice. We left super stuffed. I would return for the crab legs.
Great place for a seafood lover. Unlimited starting at $80/person up to $115/person if you add lobster. Service was fast. Lots of Asian flavorings! No wait on a Saturday afternoon. They do offer a free birthday meal if you come with a party of 4. 2 hr limit for parties.
I admit that I was a little skeptical of this place when I arrived as the atmosphere had me on the fence to start. Although once I got down stairs and noticed seafood on peoples tables my feeling suddenly changed. I think the all you can eat sometimes feels as if you're getting low quality in order to sustain amount of food being ordered, but this spot seemed to have good quality seafood items and exceeded my expectations. I specifically think the scallops were my favorite with the lobsters next in line which were top notch with them being prepared garlic butter and salt and pepper. The shrimp were just okay and the shrimp fried rice and noodles not spectacular, but. The staff was exceptionally good and the waiting time between orders was minimal. Would come back here again for my lobster fix for sure.
Spending a couple days in the city and was told this is must go place for the best seafood and lobsters. Great food and excellent service by our server Robin.
One of the best AYCE seafood feasts you can find in NYC! Definitely worth coming for someone's birthday, for the comp birthday meal. We had two birthdays on the same day and were a party of 9. Our server was Ari and he was so attentive and sweet. We loved Ari!!! The drinks are a hit or miss and depending on the day, I find their seasoning slightly on the salty side. But the food is still delish!
I love this restaurant and its selection and varieties of food. Fast and friendly service with a decent price. I will 100% recommend to a friend or family member. The restaurant is big and spacious with good music,.
A friend recommended this place to me and at first, I was kinda hesitant cause I don't normally love buffets. Crab House really did it with variety, quality, and bang for your buck, especially if you can actually put tons of crab and lobster away. The restaurant is unassuming with a dark, boat-themed atmosphere complete with a poop deck (bathrooms). It was pretty loud but since there are many different separate alcoves for seating, it wasn't unpleasant at all. Service was quick and solid, didn't have trouble flagging the guy down for more orders even though it could've been so easy for the servers to be MIA. Food quality was legit and not the usual soggy, spongy frozen seafood you find at buffets. I grew up eating Dungeness crab the most so I opted for lobsters, which were PLUMP and sweet. The sweet and sour bass was tender and cooked well, scallops were also sweet. I basically just ate those all night. They have two tiers of buffet--regular for $80/pp or lobster for $115/pp. Lobster tier comes with AYCE steamed and/or salt & pepper roasted lobster which is way worth it after a few lobsters hehe. Great place for big groups!
